Hotel Cervia

A really great place to be.

About 100 meters from the sea, with a pool and sun loungers on the third floor. The rooms are small, but clean. It's a family-run place, and the father, mother, and daughter were all lovely, friendly, and helpful. The food was excellent, with four first courses and four second courses to choose from. They served both breakfast and the appetizer buffet. Definitely recommended.

Breakfast had a good selection, and we liked being able to queue and ask for what we wanted, with drinks brought to the table. At meals, someone brought side dishes and fruit when we asked, instead of having a buffet. Less waste that way. The food was good, the room was kept clean and tidy, and the owners, Paolo and Paola, and their staff were friendly throughout. They also offer apartments for self-catering, but I didn't use that service, so I won't say more about it. Parking in their lot was available for an additional fee. Their partner beach club, Bagno Romagnolo 173, is about a five-minute walk at a very slow pace. The owners there were welcoming too, and there was a lively feel around the padel matches, while people who wanted to relax could do so peacefully. A very positive stay, and I definitely recommend the hotel.

“SIMPLY FANTASTIC.” I've come back for two weeks, sometimes even 3-4, each season for eleven years in a row. That kind of consistency says it all for me. Book ahead, because otherwise you may not get the accommodation you're after. There's a partner beach five minutes from the hotel.
