My boyfriend and I spent two nights here and paid very little for what we got. The hotel was nice and clean, in a lovely area and very close to the sea. The staff were genuinely kind and ready to help with anything we asked. Breakfast was generous for a three-star place. I especially loved the fresh homemade pastries: apple and chocolate cakes, tarts, croissants, plus other packaged items. You could tell they’d just been made with simple, good ingredients. And instead of the usual vending machines, there was a proper bar where you could order coffee, cappuccino, or whatever you liked, with a waiter bringing it to your table. We also used some of the other services. We had a really good stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant summer break in Milano marittima.

The place is run down, with a leak in the room, and it doesn’t feel like a three-star hotel. Our bathroom window opened onto the next room. Housekeeping was awful: they turned the sheets without covering the pillows, and left the towels exactly where we’d put them. The reception staff were on their phones and didn’t even greet us when we came in. The chambermaid wearing a “good morning, my ass” t-shirt was vulgar and very unprofessional.

The food was decent and there was plenty of it, and the staff were professional and helpful. They might seem rude at first, but they aren’t, it’s the Cyrillic language. The rooms are a little small but fine. They smelled musty for about an hour, then airing them out helped. Cleanliness was just adequate. The property is dated but reasonably well maintained. All in all, an average hotel, on the edge of three stars. For the price, it’s reasonable, though it doesn’t offer much.

The Wi-Fi didn’t work, which was the one real downside. The room was clean and serviced every day. Breakfast was just so-so, with salami, cheese and pastries; I would’ve liked fresh vegetables. You don’t come on holiday to spend all your time indoors anyway. It’s fine for sleeping and taking a shower.

My family and I stayed at the Liberty Hotel for the last two days of August this year. The room was clean, but clearly hadn’t been renovated or painted for a while. The toilet seat was missing. I told reception, but it still hadn’t been fitted by the time we left. The towels had yellow marks and stains that looked like rust.
