Hotel New York

The staff handled our large school group with patience and kindness, even when the students were naturally excited before bedtime. They were professional, attentive, and helpful from the moment we arrived. Our rooms suited the group well, and the students especially liked the generous, varied breakfast. We stayed one night during a school trip with three eighth-grade classes, and it was a very positive experience. Thanks to everyone for looking after us. We'd recommend the hotel to other school groups.

The room was comfortable enough, but the shower was basically nonexistent, with a built-in bidet doing double duty. I shared it with two other tenants, a spider and a lizard, lovely company. The pool was emerald green and full of pet frogs, so pleasant. The yellow balcony chairs were my favorite color, and I “appreciated” them a lot. There was hair in the sheets, so I’m taking off an extra point, even though I don’t have any hair myself, being bald. Thanks to all those strands, I could make a wig. The food was very (un)pleasant too. The bread was as hard as my head, and banging it on the bread was like Christmas came again. I thought the pasta had tuna, then found out it was meat, but that doesn’t count. The chips tasted like plastic gurment, and the “cotoletta” was just like the one from Eurospin, delicious. The location is quiet and still close to the beach and Cervia's promenade, and breakfast has plenty to choose from. The rooms are clean and have what you need for a relaxing stay, though the decor is a bit dated. There's no refrigerator, which I think is essential for a beach holiday. The bathroom has a shower without its own stall, a common setup in hotels around here. Staff are friendly and ready to help, which makes up for these drawbacks. The value for money is exceptional. The managers seem committed to improving the hotel's reputation and guest reviews, which were probably damaged by the previous management. I highly recommend staying here.

I extended my stay by two days after a great two-week holiday here. It's a quiet place, not far from the sea, and ideal for relaxing. There's a swimming pool, free parking, and buffet breakfast. Lunch and dinner include a vegetable buffet and other choices, plus an excellent, generous menu with three first and three second courses. The rooms are clean and towels are changed daily. If you have any concerns, the staff try their best to help. Gabriella, the owner, really goes out of her way, and the whole team is friendly and helpful. I'll be back in September, hoping the weather is just as lovely.
