Hotel Smart Cervia

The hospitality made our trip smooth and stress-free. The whole hotel team went out of their way to welcome our Dragon Boat team of 40+ people, who were in Cervia for the dragon boat world championships. The hotel also had lovely rooms, a delicious breakfast, and good facilities. It’s well located, reasonably priced, and I’d recommend it to anyone considering a visit to Cervia.

We booked at the last minute for one night while passing through. The location was excellent, just steps from the sea, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. They gave particular care to guests travelling with dogs, which isn’t something you can take for granted. Only the economy room was left. It was very small, but acceptable for one night and the price. Parking costs €15 per day and has to be booked in advance. That may be a bit high, though it’s understandable when spaces are limited. A good base for a short stay in Cervia.

I paid more than 350 euros for 3 nights in a double room, and the bathroom was only 2 square meters, no joke. There was no bidet, and the toilet was right up against the folding door. My daughter and I both had to leave the door open to use it because our legs wouldn’t fit otherwise.

We had a very satisfying weekend. The owners and all the staff were so kind, and pets are welcomed and treated like royalty. Breakfast was excellent, even for people with food intolerances. The rooms and shared areas were super clean, and the beach was a great distance away. I highly recommend it.
