Carducci Suite

The entertainment team were a lovely, friendly group of girls, both at the hotel in the evenings and on the beach during the day. We could also borrow strollers for free. The hotel has been renovated, and our spacious, simply furnished room had air conditioning, a fridge, a TV, and a splendid sea view. Reception and dining room staff were friendly and helpful, and Livia did a great job with housekeeping. Food was a real highlight, with a varied menu and set portions of first and second courses, plus buffet vegetables, fruit, and dessert. Compliments to the chef! The sister hotel across the street shares its pool with this one. The water was cold, but refreshing. We had six wonderful days and will definitely return.

The hotel is just steps from the sea, which is a great location, but several things really need attention. We stayed for a week with my boyfriend, our first time there, and as newcomers we expected a warmer welcome and clearer information about the services. What we got was rushed and imprecise. The biggest problem was the dining room: there weren't enough seats, and tables seemed to be unassigned, something we'd never encountered at a hotel. The tablecloths were dirty from previous guests, so we tried to come right at opening and use the same table each time. The food was good, but very basic and repetitive, and we expected more from a three-star hotel. Cleanliness was also poor. They made the beds and replaced dirty towels, but once our room wasn't cleaned at all. It seemed like there weren't enough staff, since the same cleaner also served lunch. The private beach was just as bad, with papers, bags, cigarette butts, and other litter left there early in the morning from the day before. At night they simply closed the umbrellas instead of clearing up around the loungers. I've spent many years on the Riviera and have never seen a beach this dirty.

We felt welcome as soon as we arrived at Hotel Carducci, and our dog did too. The building is beautiful, new, and full of lovely colors. Staff were very kind and helpful. They let us make up for lunch at the end of our stay, and quickly sorted out little problems with the hair dryer and shower hose. A special thanks to the receptionist who greeted us and was so thoughtful, the blonde waiter who looked after us with real courtesy, and the always-smiling, kind lady at the bar, whose coffee is excellent. It was a comfortable, pleasant stay, made even better by all that extra care.

Lunch and dinner had a nice spread of hot and cold dishes, with something for different tastes. When a dish ran out, it was replenished promptly, and we felt very well looked after at mealtimes. The hotel was clean and well maintained, the staff always courteous and helpful, and our room was tidy, spacious, comfortable, and clean. We had peaceful, relaxing days from beginning to end and would happily return. We recommend it without hesitation.
