Club Hotel Gallia

We had a very good week, including Ferragosto. The location was more than good, with everything we needed less than ten minutes away. Food was excellent and tasty, though we got a bit tired of the au gratin fish in the last few days since we kept choosing it. Ferragosto itself was excellent, with plenty of food, delicious fish, and a buffet of fruit and desserts. The Romagna evening was great too. The room was clean, though nothing special. Reception staff and the woman at the bar were genuinely kind. Service was excellent, especially thanks to a very kind young man we'd like to thank. Entertainment was average, nothing special. I expected more for the 9-13 age group, since activities seemed aimed at either very young children or adults, though the kids were good overall. I had a lot of fun doing water aerobics in the pool. I do think the schedule could be better: morning entertainment is on the beach, while afternoon activities, including crafts or games, are also held there with special snacks, instead of taking place at the pool. The rooms are spacious and the balconies are easy to use, which I especially appreciated. The manager is always friendly, and the entertainment staff are lovely. Gallia beach is so close that it's under a two-minute walk to the sea. The appetizers and Sunday barbecue were excellent. The downside, perhaps because it was near the end of the season, was the food selection. There weren't many starters or main courses, and desserts were especially limited, with just one cake at each meal. At breakfast I spotted mold on the bread slices and asked for it to be removed.

We've stayed loyal to the Gallia for years, and we're sure we'll come back. The quality for the price remains consistent, and the staff make us feel at home in both the hotel and on the beach. Cleanliness is always impeccable too. The food has long been a highlight. Even with some new additions, the dishes still have the same quality and authentic flavors. The way the manager looks after every detail of the Gallia makes it clear how dedicated he is. My family and I felt welcome from the first moment, and he handled everything smoothly, even our most unusual requests. If the staff's passion and the way they share it with guests were the only basis for a rating, this would be a five-star luxury hotel. Everyone on the team deserves a mention. Cos welcomed us at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday and saw us off at 2:00 a.m. when we left, always ready with a comforting word while taking care of our needs. Carmen was kind, punctual, efficient, friendly and motherly. At reception, Fab and Cla made us feel looked after like newborn babies, with their attention to every detail of our stay. Marco and the kitchen team delighted our taste buds and stomachs with food worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant. They even took on last-minute requests and exceeded our expectations. The dining room staff were smiling, courteous and helpful, making sure our children could eat from the menu without waiting or struggling, even at the busiest times. Lud was so fast I nicknamed him FLASH. Martina, Marica, Noemi and Lorenzo kept every meal bright with their smiles. The cleaning ladies also worked their magic, making everything spotless while we were out. Thanks as well to the staff at the beach club. They took great care of us with lounge chairs and various accommodations, and the location worked perfectly for our family with two strollers.
