Hotel Dinosauro

It's affordable and at least the place is clean, with fresh linens changed every day. The owner is kind, but her husband comes across as very old-fashioned. The room had no air conditioning despite the listing, the bathroom was falling apart, and the carpet in the halls and on the stairs smelled of urine. Run-down, but inexpensive.

The owner welcomed us very warmly, and the hotel has some real advantages: it's just a short walk from the sea, has air conditioning and a balcony for hanging towels, and the price suited us since we only needed somewhere to shower and sleep. The beds were made and the towels changed, which was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, the sheets and towels were stained, and there was hair on the sheets in one of the children's cribs. There was no hair dryer in the room, and I struggled to use the bathroom. We were also swarmed by mosquitoes as soon as we arrived, and I was going into anaphylactic shock. There's a lot that needs attention before the place feels up to standard. The smell on the stairs and floors was persistent and nauseating. The carpets should go, and the stair railings need daily cleaning. The entrance should be cleared out, and I'd remove the shopping carts from the shelves and put the essentials in cupboards, perhaps mirrored ones to bring in more light and depth. Bare white walls and a simpler style could help keep things clean and fresh. I'd read reviews calling the hotel spotless, and honestly, that left me wondering how people keep their homes. I wouldn't come back or recommend it as it is. I'd suggest outside pest control and trusting serious people to give this hotel a new lease on life, because it has real potential. The owner was genuinely welcoming, but that alone isn't enough. I hope these comments help. Best regards.

Romagna's larger cities, including Cesenatico, are known for friendly people. This hotel, the dinosaur, was a different experience: the staff were rude and impolite, and the owners were the worst of all.

Leaving was hard enough to make me cry. We had such a lovely stay in Cesenatico, with comfortable beds, impeccable cleanliness, and charming, friendly owners. We left a piece of our hearts there.
