Hotel Rugantino

No.

The rooms are spacious and clean, the welcome is always courteous, and the location is right in the centre. I’ve had a great time here and would definitely recommend it. I come to Cesenatico every May as a teacher, accompanying the finalist teams in the Mathematics Olympiad. This is my fourth year, so I’ve had a chance to try a few hotels around the area.

The hotel is only a few metres from the sea. Our room was comfortable, with air conditioning, a TV, and a small balcony. We had a lovely week here. Breakfast was a buffet with both sweet and savoury options, while lunch and dinner had three menus to choose from. Bottled wine and water were included with meals.

The food was a real highlight. Young chef Aleardo gave us varied, well-prepared menus each day, with good-sized portions that were light and easy to digest. You could tell the ingredients were good quality. Breakfast was generous too, especially the focaccia with mortadella and the excellent sweets made by dining room manager Maria, with the very kind Adela helping with service. We spent eight wonderful days here with friends. Our room was spacious enough and had a nice balcony, air conditioning, and careful daily cleaning. All the staff were lovely and helpful. Giovanni, the owner, was always patient and available, and the whole place has a warm, family feel. Great value for money. We’ll definitely return, highly recommended.
