Hotel Miage

I went on a school ski trip here last week. The hotel was pretty standard, and the rooms were nice enough, though nothing special. We had no issues with them; the beds were made every day, the bathroom was cleaned, and the staff were helpful and spoke English. The major problem was the food. It was absolutely putrid, some of the worst I've ever tasted. I usually finish a meal, but here one bite was enough to nearly make me throw up. Truly terrible.

On our school trip, the rooms were alright, but a little dirty and broken. There was only one plug, and the food was horrible. One star. Do not go.

The balcony views were gorgeous, and the outside of the property was lovely. The hotel staff were nice, too. But the rooms weren't great: ours had an awkward layout, and we kept hitting our heads on the ceiling as we walked around. The bed frame was taped to the wall to keep it in place. There was nowhere to hang a hand towel in the bathroom, and without a shower curtain, water got everywhere when you showered. Breakfast wasn't my favorite. The place has potential but needs some love. We enjoyed the walk to Aosta, which probably took 25-30 minutes.

The breakfast buffet was good, and everything felt clean. We also got a room upstairs with a stunning view, which was a nice bonus. After a long drive from the UK while towing our bike, we were pretty frazzled, so the helpful concierge was exactly what we needed. I saw the other reviews, but our experience was different.
