The mattress was decent, but that was the only good thing about Hotel Mediterraneo. Our room was cold, and on the last morning there was hardly any hot water. The staff were unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The staff were nice, though they seemed sad too. The room was clean, but the old furnishings made the place feel stuck in the 80s and pretty depressing. Breakfast was okay, while dinner was really sad. I don’t know what it cost since I didn’t pay, but it must be cheap. If you go to Chianciano, spend a bit more and stay somewhere better.

Dinner was fine, and the hotel was pretty clean. It’s an old-fashioned place that’s clearly seen better days, with some wear, but basically everything works somehow. That’s why it’s cheap. Breakfast is tiny, just one portion per person, apparently counted out in advance, and the coffee isn’t worthy of Italy. It’s okay for one overnight stay, but I’d choose somewhere else for a longer visit.
