The views of the mountains from both balconies were beautiful, and there’s greenery all around. It’s close to central Chiavenna and nearby amenities, with parking below the property and a striking stone fountain nearby. Inside, there are three bedrooms with comfortable sleeping space for up to 11, two bathrooms, and an eat-in kitchen with a large table, induction stove, and a good assortment of utensils. There’s also a living room with a TV. Everything was very clean, with high-quality linens and towels. Francesca and Silvana took such good care of us and the property, and were lovely hosts. We had a perfect weekend.

I’ve stayed here several times and always enjoyed it. It’s peaceful, while still only a few minutes’ drive from Chiavenna’s center. The apartment is a welcoming, well-kept base for walking or climbing, and Madesimo’s slopes and nearby Switzerland are also within reach. Francesca was thoughtful and kind.

Several mountain trails, including routes to Pianazzola and Savogno, begin right by the house, and the owners are always friendly and helpful. The center of Chiavenna, with its shops, restaurants, and crottos, is about a kilometer away, a 10-15 minute walk. The apartment is spacious, cozy, quiet, and clean, tucked under the eaves and reached by an outside staircase. Its sunny south-facing balcony is a little narrow, but looks over Chiavenna and the surrounding mountains. You can park right at the house. It’s also strategically placed within walking distance of the town center, about 200 meters from the main road into the Bergell and Engadine valleys and the St. Moritz-Chiavenna Swiss Postbus stop.

Francesca has been kind and very helpful every time I’ve stayed here. The cozy house has everything you need, and its location makes a great base for hikes, trips to Switzerland, or days on the Madesimo slopes. Highly recommended!!!

The hosts are very kind. Their quaint, welcoming home is in a quiet spot with lovely walking trails nearby, yet Chiavenna’s center is only a kilometer away.
