While in Pietrasanta for a conference in September 2023, I stayed at Agriturismo La Vite Maritata. It was the best bed-and-breakfast experience I’ve had. The room and its view were lovely, the grounds exquisite, and the food was great. What stayed with me most, though, were the conversations with the owners about their vineyard and winemaking, the Resistance’s history in that part of Tuscany, and preserving a way of life. I also took one of the available bikes for a sweet ride to the sea. From there, the Apennines seemed to float in the distance as I looked inland. I hope I can stay there again someday.

The owners are friendly, and the rooms are really comfortable. It’s an excellent spot for getting to both the town and the sea.

Everything was just right, from the spacious room and bathroom to the easy parking. The homemade breakfast was delicious. We also tried their white wine, with its citrus notes, and it reminded us of our little Arvine from Valais. Nothing but good things to say ☀️

The breakfast is superb, all homemade and authentic. The rooms are comfortable, with large bathrooms, and the property is new and well looked after. It’s also very convenient for a farmhouse, since it’s fairly close to the center and has private parking. Truly excellent!
