Hotel Residence Sylvanerhof

Dinner was delicious, and the hostess spent nearly half an hour chatting with my girlfriend and me about what to see nearby, even marking places on a map. The welcome felt really warm and familial. The hotel itself is beautiful and in a lovely location. It was the best hotel I've stayed at in Italy, and one of the most memorable anywhere. I was surprised to see some middling or poor ratings, because our experience was the complete opposite. I'd happily recommend it to people I know, and I'll be telling friends and family about it when I talk about our trip.

Hope this helps them add Wi-Fi to every room and replace those old, stiff, worn-out towels with fresh new ones 😊

After a lovely day in the mountains, we stopped here for Sunday lunch at the end of August because the restaurant we had planned to visit was closed. There were six of us, but only five meals came. We politely asked about the missing plate and waited for more than an hour, but it never arrived. A large busload of tourists came in and got served while our sixth person was still waiting. We eventually left really upset. Nobody even apologized, and I still feel sad about how it ended. The place doesn't respect its customers.

The rooms were tidy and clean, and affordable. The restaurant food tasted awesome.
