La Palazzina

The quiet here is incredible, and the garden is gorgeous. Our dogs loved it, and it's clearly great for traveling with pets. The room was beautiful and cozy, with a really comfortable bed where I slept wonderfully. The owner welcomed us warmly and was kind and helpful from the start, making us feel at home. After our lovely visit to the Abbey of San Galgano, my partner and I stayed here, and we had a wonderful time. Dinner was delicious and carefully made. Breakfast wasn't included, but the owner kindly brought us crostata and torta della nonna anyway. A special place I'd happily return to, and highly recommend.

Francesco, the owner and chef, makes you feel at home, and the staff are friendly and attentive. La Palazzina is a good choice for traditional food: the sauces make the pasta excellent, the meat is tender, and the vegetable sides are fresh. They do great pizza too. It's clean and bright, with fair, reasonable prices. The big terrace and garden make it pleasant for families with children, and it's suitable for lunch or dinner all year.

The Florentine steak was overcooked and full of gristle. We ate it anyway because we don't like throwing food away. The mulled red wine was like hot tea, so we had to ask for ice. I expected something different based on the reviews, unfortunately.

The service made a strong impression: everyone was attentive, professional, and ready to suggest dishes and wines. Their care for customers really came through. I had dinner at La Palazzina in Chiusdino, where the welcome was warm and the atmosphere mixed comfort with elegance. The menu brings local traditions together with some creativity. My wild boar pici was just right, with very fresh ingredients, balanced flavors, and beautiful presentation. The meat was EXCELLENT!!!! Desserts were lovely too, especially the tiramisu, which I'd recommend. Every detail seemed planned to make the visit special. I'd recommend La Palazzina without hesitation and can't wait to return.
