Agriturismo All'Ombra del Castello

That view takes in the vineyards and the full arc of the Western Alps, and there’s an impressive Medieval castle right next door. This part of the Langhe is known for Dolcetto, a red wine. It’s a working farm, with warm, comfortable rooms and very hospitable hosts. Breakfast is outstanding, with their own products like jams and homemade cakes. We come back at least once a year.

Breakfast was the highlight, with plenty of sweet and savory choices, including homemade cakes and jams that bring out the area's authentic flavors. The owners were exceptionally hospitable and helpful, and we really appreciated a special favor they did for us. My partner and I stayed at Agriturismo All'Ombra del Castello on October 25th, and had a wonderful time. The terrace has an unforgettable view across the Langhe and its magnificent castle. The location is enchanting, and the rooms are welcoming, carefully maintained, and spotless. A perfect spot for some quiet time together. We’ll be back for the atmosphere and castle view.

The terrace has a stunning view over the valley, and the hosts were kind and attentive. We spent five wonderful nights here. The room was lovely and clean, though it had no bidet and the Wi-Fi was practically nonexistent. Breakfast was good and varied, with homemade cakes, but no fresh fruit. The location is peaceful and away from the city bustle, while still close to attractions.

The breakfast is generous and delicious, and the rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. They’re beautifully named and decorated too, this time we had the Stanza dei Marchesi 😉. Whenever we’re in this region, we stay at this wonderful guesthouse. The welcome, hospitality, kindness, and helpfulness of our hosts are all perfect. See you very soon. Nina and Jean-Claude
