Parco San Marco Lifestyle Beach Resort

The rooms were comfortable, though a little dated, and we found the prices high. Since the property is outside town, it can feel as if guests are expected to eat and use services on-site. There were extra charges for things like dishes in the room and a cot, and seemingly for most things beyond the basics. We’d suggest bringing some groceries. Even with those costs, we had a lovely stay at Parco St. Marco. The grounds are beautiful, carefully maintained, and made for relaxing. Staff were friendly and attentive, especially with the children, and the breakfast had plenty of good quality options. I’d still recommend it for the setting and welcoming atmosphere, as long as you’re prepared for the added fees.

The breakfast, restaurants, pizza, and spa treatments were all outstanding, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay while getting married. My husband and I felt incredibly cared for during our elopement in Italy. It was our first trip abroad together, and I’m certain we’ll return to this resort. Any time we needed something, the staff found a kind, enthusiastic way to help. They brought a larger robe to our room, found a hot glue gun and sticks for my bouquet, let us keep the bouquet in their wine cooler, and moved potted plants so my dress could get through the walkway. I felt like I was asking a lot, but they always said yes. I can’t remember everyone’s names, but I remember Giulia (maybe a manager?), Alessia, and Roman. Roman served us on our fancy dinner night and was so helpful when we weren’t sure what to do. Lots of other lovely people made the stay special too, and we’re deeply grateful for all the care. We wouldn’t have been so happy and beaming in our ceremony photo on Lake Como without the Parco San Marco staff. The photo is of the ceremony, not the resort.

We’re still staying here, but wanted to say early how impressed we are with the hotel and its staff. Our visit happens to fall over my wife’s birthday, and we returned to find a cake, a card, and a bottle of Prosecco waiting for her. Such thoughtful, well organized service. We’d absolutely recommend the hotel and hope to come back.

The main restaurant dinner was disappointing for us. Service was slow, the menu wasn’t really explained, and my husband was served BBQ sauce with his filet steak. We can’t comment on the other restaurants on the property, since many only allowed children over 16. We also thought the kitchen utensils should have been included with our premium family suite and kitchenette, rather than costing an extra 90 euros for the stay. The room was extremely clean, the beds were very comfortable, and our prime view was peaceful at night. The bar entertainment was considerate and finished by 10 at the latest. The decor could use an update. What stood out most at this hotel was the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and they greeted the little children so warmly at breakfast each morning. The location and lake views are fabulous. I especially loved the private beach area, including the blow-up slide by the lake. The grounds are beautifully kept, with quiet spots and open lake views if you wander uphill. Breakfast had a great selection too. I highly recommend this hotel for a trip to the Italian lakes, particularly for families with children of any age. There’s a lot for them to do.
