The village has very limited internet coverage, which honestly felt like a bonus. Cineto Romano is a friendly, secluded place with a real rural Italian feel and a history as a former Roman military outpost. There’s a waterfall trail a few kilometers away, though it takes a longer walk to reach this lovely, well-preserved stretch of nature.

Agoda lists the address as ROME, but this place is about three and a half hours from Rome by train or bus. That’s nowhere near Rome, and a taxi from there costs around €100 each way. I booked through the app and have screenshots of the confirmation. Fraud alert.

The owner is very kind, and the rooms were spotless. This lovely house sits in a medieval village with magnificent views, and there are natural and cultural sights nearby. It’s also not far from Rome. The furnishings are thoughtful, with lots of little details that make it feel like stepping into another era, while still having all the modern conveniences. Highly recommended.

The inn is a short, charming 200-meter walk from the easy-to-reach public parking. Leaving the car there might seem inconvenient, but it keeps things quiet and peaceful. Inside, there’s plenty of space and a warm feel, with many old-fashioned objects, a lovely fireplace you can use by arranging it with the owner, and a large, practical kitchen stocked with the utensils you need. The bedrooms are roomy and comfortable, and there are two bathrooms. Everything was very clean and carefully looked after. The owner was extremely kind and handled all my requests. I highly recommend it and plan to come back soon.
