Residence Villa Rosa dei Venti

The free breakfast was a real treat, and Francesco, who served it, also drove us back to the airport so we could catch the train to Palermo. His help was lovely from the moment he picked us up, and he showed us to our room too. We’d chosen the terrace room, which was roomy, modern, and very clean. The shower was hot and easy to use. We landed around 9 p.m. and rang reception. The pickup arrived about 10 minutes later, roughly 15 minutes after we landed, with no fuss. Everything was ready when we got there. B&B Villa Rosa dei Venti is close to the airport and train connections, and the kind staff provide a free shuttle and breakfast. It’s clearly well run. Thanks to everyone there.

Our first night in Italy was such a lovely experience. The staff really paid attention to what we needed, even making a special trip to collect us after we’d spent three hours waiting at passport control. They then fed us homemade lasagna, which was exceptional. The hotel is small, but it had everything we wanted, and the whole team was amazing.

We had a covered patio off our suite, and the rooms were modern and nicely furnished. It’s a small boutique hotel, handy if you need to stay close to the airport. There aren’t restaurants nearby, but the owners offered to cook pasta for us. It was very good and reasonably priced. We especially appreciated the free shuttle for our 5:00 a.m. airport trip.

What a lovely little find near Palermo airport. The hospitality was the best I’ve had at a hotel, and I’m already looking forward to visiting again. Grazie mille!
