Rustico San Leonardo

Rustico San Leonardo feels like home and joy, a place that stays with me. It welcomed me with the colors, scents, and warm air I expect from Sicily, almost like a hug and a welcome back even on a first visit. The little house is beautiful in every corner and has everything you need. It feels as if I've lived here for ages. I miss cooking fish together on the barbecue outside, looking at the calm sea and drinking wine. Even waiting for the washing machine to finish the whites, then hanging the clothes outside, felt lovely. It was 5:30 PM in January and the air was still warm. Giusi and Salvo are endlessly available and kind, which made the stay perfect. They're always ready with support and advice, from itineraries to good food and local places to eat. We had a wonderful time even without a car. You can walk along the seafront to Terrasini and the outdoor cafés at Piazza del Duomo, or stop at Andrea al Pirata for excellent fish and fresh pasta, just steps from the Rustico. Walking toward Cinisi takes you to Gaetano's Lambretta for his panelle crocché with lemon, pepper, and salt, or to Damiano's pizza at Voglia di Pizza near the Randazzo family's moving nativity scene. I'd highly recommend the Rustico for a short or long holiday. Definitely unforgettable.

The only small downside for us was that the bathroom was a bit small. Otherwise, the property is new, really nice, and has everything you might need. Since we had work appointments at the nearby Florio Hotel, the location was especially convenient. The hosts were very friendly and kind, helped with any requests, and gave us suggestions on what to do, what to see, and where to eat nearby. Recommended!

The bungalow has two floors and is beautifully decorated. Upstairs there's a bedroom, a bathroom with a shower, and an armchair that can serve as an extra bed. Downstairs you'll find a well-equipped kitchen, dining space, sofa bed for two, and a toilet. There's also an outdoor terrace with a table and chairs. Cleanliness, the unbeatable location, and being able to park the car safely were among the best parts, especially with parking only 100 meters away costing €2 an hour. Giusa and Salvo were lovely, too. The only hard part was wanting to stay forever. Rustico San Leonardo is a little paradise for a great Sicilian holiday, close to the airport, a gorgeous colorful beach, and excellent restaurants. Giusa made us feel at home, shared helpful tips, and stocked the fridge with water, yogurt, and local fruit. The photos don't do the place justice, though we only stayed a few hours and that's all I got to take pictures of. Highly recommended, we'll be back!

We were welcomed so warmly. The apartment was spacious, with a kitchen and living area plus a separate bedroom with air conditioning and a bathroom. The bed was lovely and the shower was nice.
