Il Piccolo Trullo

Such a beautiful, amazing experience. A must-visit.

We had a really enjoyable stay in this lovely, clean trullo. It’s comfortable and nicely furnished, with a terrace that’s great for relaxing. The quiet, charming setting is close to Cisternino’s historic center, and Martina Franca and Alberobello are also nearby. Our host was a lovely, helpful woman. Highly recommended 😊

The trullo is clean, well cared for, and has everything you need for a few days. It’s a small place in the Itria Valley, surrounded by trulli and history, with Ostuni, Locorotondo, Alberobello, and Cisternino all within reach. The woman who runs it welcomed us warmly and was available for anything we needed. She speaks about her homeland with so much affection. We’re grateful to her and would gladly make the trip from our home in Sicily again. One tip: bring mosquito repellent!

A walk along the characteristic stone walls from Il Piccolo Trullo takes you into Cisternino’s center. The last part is uphill, with parking nearby, and finishes at a rather impressive staircase. At the top, though, the view across the Itria Valley is spectacular, and you’re right in the beautiful historic center. My family and I spent two wonderful days here. Staying overnight in a trullo was a fantastic experience. Il Piccolo Trullo is welcoming, very well kept, spotless, cool, and quiet. The rooms are laid out well and stocked with everything you need, especially the kitchen. It even has an oven, toaster, electric kettle, and those hard-to-find scissors! The woman who looks after the trullo was kind and helpful. She manages the place with care and precision, and clearly has a lot of love for her land. My family and I were delighted with our stay, and I highly recommend it.
