We only had two nights here, which felt far too short, and spent some lovely long stretches talking with Ben about the house's interesting history. Manager Laura and owner Ben gave us a very warm welcome. The six rooms are all different: some have balconies, while others look out through their windows onto the lovely park. I'd ask for a particular room through their website. There's a beautiful park on the grounds, and the refreshing pool sits in a lovely setting with sun in both the morning and evening. It's easy to want to spend your time just relaxing at the hotel. Breakfast was generous, with gluten-free choices and really good coffee. We'll definitely be back.

Benoit and Laura made the last stop of our holiday its highlight. Their hospitality was unmatched. We were here for a wedding and loved our room and the facilities. The castle has been restored beautifully, and the setting is stunning.

Katia really takes care of her guests and goes the extra mile. We had a lovely six-night stay as a couple, and the breakfast was delicious, especially the freshly baked cakes and pies. Città della Pieve is both pretty and lively, with some of the best food we ate, all within walking distance of the castle.

Città della Pieve is a gorgeous medieval walled town within walking distance, with plenty of restaurants. We were there for a festival where locals served a medieval banquet, which was amazing, and everyone we met was charming and friendly. The family-run Italian villa has lovely rooms and a great pool, though even in blazing sunshine I found the water a bit cold because the contrast was so noticeable. The host speaks good English and was very helpful. Even though the place was full, it felt like we had it to ourselves.

A terrific family-run inn, with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, lovely service, and delicious food. We booked a couples massage and really enjoyed it.
