The owner gave us a very hospitable welcome, and we had a fantastic time during our summer stay. We dined there twice, and both meals were a wonderful experience. Each dish came with an enthusiastic explanation of how it was prepared and the long history behind it. Everything was homemade and tasted amazing. We’d love to visit again next year!

We were made to feel so at home here. The owners let us sample local wine and olive oil, then served us a menu they had put together. The dishes showed how much care went into making them. The food itself wasn't the best I've ever had, but everyone was so friendly that I can't stop saying positive things about the place! -Friday 5-August

The food felt like a lovely mix of old and new, with elegant dishes presented by the owner, who clearly cares about the local area. The ingredients are grown on site, and the plates are thoughtfully illustrated and prepared to a high standard. The historic setting is beautiful and carefully kept, and the host made us feel at home from the start. He welcomed us with a delicious, original aperitif made from local ingredients. I'd gladly come back.

I came in expecting just a snack, but the house wine and the owner's basil liqueur made it hard to stop there. The cugni with beans and sausage was a real discovery, and next time I'll try the tagliata "sotto olio". The appetizers included local cured meats and cheeses with excellent homemade jams and preserves, plus tortini, fricchió, and platters that could easily make a full meal. The garden and building are lovely, but the owner's warm welcome stood out even more. After years of touring Umbria, I was glad to stumble on a place serving these traditional dishes. Good value, too.
