Glamping Poggio Imperiale Marche

We loved the spa and made use of it as soon as we arrived. The place is spacious, and the outdoor wooden tables among the woods were lovely for dinner in the warm weather. It was our first time staying in a bubble, and waking up to squirrels hopping along the branches above us was such a lovely sight. Everything was perfect, highly recommended.

Poggio Imperiale is surrounded by greenery, with plenty to do, from bubble beds under the trees and hot tubs to a pool, ping pong, paddle tennis, and more. The staff were kind and always available to help. I spent a weekend there, and the lovely weather helped make it a wonderful memory. I hope to return soon. ☀️

I wish I could give this less than one star. They gave us a free night in the Bubble Room, listed at €250, and now I understand why. The privacy promised on the website wasn’t there. The bubbles are close together, and the path to reach them is difficult and not suitable for everyone. We paid an extra €20 for two 30-minute hot tub sessions. The tub was dirty, sandy, not working properly, and the water was cold. It was the opposite of relaxing. Then we got back to the bubble room and found the bed covered in ants and other insects, as shown in the photos and video I attached. I know it’s nature, and we’re used to camping, but we’ve never had a tent infested like that, especially on the bed. There were so many that we had to sleep in our car in the property’s parking lot. At midnight, we sent photos and video to the phone number they provided. We didn’t call because we didn’t want to disturb anyone. The next morning, we calmly told the owner what had happened, hoping he’d understand how serious it was and offer a refund or something similar. He was very rude and kept saying it had never happened, that he believed we slept in the car and that it was disgusting. We told him to look at the situation himself. About 20 minutes later he came back with a different story: it’s normal in the countryside, we should have shaken the sheets, and there were only three ants. When we asked to see the video again, he walked off and said he didn’t want to know about it. He started removing the ants, then denied it, despite the photos and videos. I hate leaving bad reviews and never do, but this time I felt I had to. We were treated rudely and mocked, and the manager said we should have called him. His number isn’t listed anywhere, though. There’s just one number for the property, and that’s the one we contacted. We left without breakfast. Only ants can sit at some people’s tables. EDIT: They promised a refund to the person who gave us the gift, but only after she contacted them herself and got angry. We’ll see if it comes through in the next few days, and I’ll update this review if it does. EDIT: As promised, they did at least provide a refund.

Sleeping in a bubble surrounded by nature, with complete privacy, was a dream. The heated pool was perfect for relaxing, and we used it late into the night. Everything was well equipped, including the showers by the pool and the bathroom beside the bubble. The hosts were kind and attentive, and their hospitality suited the peace and quiet of the setting. I’d absolutely recommend it for a break from everyday life, or for families and groups of friends. We’d happily do it again, and next time we’ll try the spa.
