The balcony views were stunning, and the room was quiet, with comfortable beds, a good shower, and a spacious living room. I had the place to myself. Parking was handy, and the host was really friendly and flexible. For the price, it was the best place around. One tip: Google’s suggested road is narrow, so take the road around instead. A really great stay.

Gerry was so helpful and kind, and the facilities felt well worth the price. I stayed for one night and really enjoyed it. The valley view from up there is wonderful. Getting there means dealing with a bumpy road, and public transport doesn’t come very often. With your own car, or with friends for a barbecue or camping, it’s absolutely worth it. Gerry will help however he can.

The flat was very good, and whenever something came up, the landlord was there to help. He and his family look after the place, and he’s a gentleman with good manners. If you’re open-minded and cheerful, you’ll enjoy staying with him. It’s a little way from Como Town, but the drive is enjoyable. In peak season, it’s one of the best budget places to stay around Lake Como. Thanks for the hospitality, mate.

For the 16 euros I paid, I got a good night's sleep and could carry on riding in the mountains the next day. It’s a hostel, so you share a room with three or four other people and need to keep very quiet. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone expecting a real hotel, but for the price, it worked out fine.
