Agriturismo La Ferme du Grand Paradis

We had no regrets about staying here and would happily come back. The family running the place are friendly and hardworking, and the restaurant service has real enthusiasm. Even after the damage from the bad weather a couple of months earlier, repairs were still underway, including work around the temporary bridge providing access. Despite all that, the hosts offered comfortable hospitality and appetizing local food, especially dishes with Fontina cheese. They deserve support. It’s a peaceful spot for hikers and guests, with cows grazing nearby, plus chickens, rabbits and goats. The views and walking routes are wonderful, and the agriturismo sits at the end of the road in Valnontey, inside Gran Paradiso National Park. Breakfast included a good cappuccino, local ham and cheeses, and fresh cake. Dinner was varied and tasty. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The double room was faultless, though the apartment and shared recreation areas could use some freshening up. Parking outside is free, and you can buy local traditional foods there too. The area gets very busy in peak season, and prices may not be cheap.

I feel at home at La Ferme. The love and passion Max and Paola put into what they've made, and into welcoming guests, really comes through. The mountains, atmosphere, family, food and accommodations would all get ten stars from me if I could. It's one of those places you almost don't want to review because you'd rather keep it secret. I'll be back again and again. 💜

The farm makes its own local cheeses, and they were a highlight of the amazing breakfast. There are hiking trails just nearby, and the spot has a stunning view. A perfect place to stay.

We had a family room at this lovely farmhouse. The views were great, and it’s well placed for hikes toward the glaciers and refuge. We enjoyed the food too.
