Lou Tsantelet

The owners were so kind and generous, and I felt at home here for all seven days. The scenery across the Alps and Valnontey was beautiful. Everything was perfect. I can't wait to return.

We came back for another weekend in early October, this time with my husband and daughters, and had a wonderful stay again. The owner was so welcoming and kind, and the service was excellent. The view was lovely too. I also liked that there wasn't a TV in the room. There's one in the shared lounge, along with herbal tea and coffee, board games, and books. It gave us a chance to relax and chat with the other guests, which is no small thing.

The rooms are cozy and quiet, and breakfast is generous. Mrs. Luciana was incredibly kind and ready to help with any request. She even helped us with a problem involving my brother's stay, although it was completely outside her control. It's a lovely spot about 3 km from Cogne, peaceful but connected by a free shuttle bus. There's also free parking right in front. If we're back in the area, this is the first place we'll contact.

The free parking, reasonable rates, and special offer with the neighboring Valnontey Restaurant are nice bonuses. Best of all, Lou Tsantelet has a beautiful view over Valnontey, and we woke to sunshine in the room and complete quiet. Ms. Luciana has run this typical mountain hotel for almost 40 years, now with help from her granddaughter Marie. I've never stayed anywhere so clean. The decor is a bit dated, but the rooms and shared areas are roomy and well cared for, so it feels like home. The microwave in the breakfast room came in handy for warming food we'd bought in Cogne. A lovely find in the heart of Valnontey.
