Garni Criss

The place has a very pastoral feel: we heard cowbells, and on the walk to a small supermarket we passed llamas and miniature horses. Our room faced the mountain at the back, so it was quiet. It was comfortable and decorated in a fun, slightly kitch Tirolean style, with lots of spruce and carved pine. The bathroom was great, and having a bath felt like a little luxury. There was a small fridge, and Annelies happily lent us a kettle for my tea addiction. She clearly loves hosting and was incredibly kind and welcoming, taking care of every detail. Breakfast was really good, with fresh little croissants and rolls from the bakery van each morning, plus eggs, cakes, fruit and gorgeous local cheeses. I forgot my Kindle, and she very kindly offered to post it. Can highly recommend this place.

Breakfast had loads of choice, with good coffee made to order on a real espresso machine, plus fried eggs or omelettes made how you like them. We also really enjoyed the spa. Annelies was so nice and friendly, and we had a wonderful stay at Garni Criss. If we're in the region again, we'll definitely stay there. Great price for the quality!

We came back for a second year and will be back again. The suite works perfectly for our family of four, with a mezzanine floor and a bathroom upstairs for the kids. Annelise is always cheerful and helpful. In this sunny spot, it's just across the road from a chair lift and ski park. Breakfast is included, and you can order dinner then too. The food is outstanding in quality and carefully presented.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and our room was very clean. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.
