We were greeted by a very helpful woman at reception, and there was plenty of parking outside. The rooms were clean and a bit tired, but more than adequate for an overnight stay. We also had a nice little breakfast. It’s only a five-minute drive from Lake Como. We stayed here during our European road trip.

The staff were incredibly lovely and caring, and the bathroom view was really lovely. It’s a great place for the price. The only downside was the 10-minute walk from the centre, though the views from the town make up for it. We had a lovely stay in Colico.

We needed somewhere to rest for one night on the way home after a wedding, and we were happy with our stay. It’s an easy hotel to find and has what you need for a couple of nights in Colico for a weekend or work trip. The building and furniture are old, as you’d expect from a one-star hotel, but the bed was very comfortable and everything was clean. Breakfast was nice, with fresh pastries and cappuccino made to order at the bar, plus juice, yogurt, and cereal.

Hotel Autora is a handy stop for anyone traveling through Italy who needs a rest near Lake Como. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the lake, the room was clean and had soap, and breakfast was very Italian and sweet. You can ask for cheese and ham too :)

The people were friendly and welcoming, and we really enjoyed our stay. Our balcony looked out toward the amazing Alps, and the service was very good too. Definitely recommend!
