KLAUS N.
We love Colico: the people are welcoming, the food is good, and Lake Como is breathtaking. It still feels less overrun and less overstyled than Lake Garda or the Italian coast, and you can experience genuine Italian warmth here. We’ve known this holiday home for 10 years and this was our third stay. Our previous visit to Villa Fausta CCO180 was eight years ago. The house is still clean and in an interesting location, but unfortunately the furniture hasn’t changed. It’s old, worn out, and dated. While the neighbors have modern seating areas, here you’re left with plastic chairs or rusty folding ones. The TV is a 12-inch CRT, the mattresses are old and worn out, and the bed linen is old but clean. Getting there is challenging, and you need a powerful car and an experienced driver. The location is very quiet but quite remote, and the neighbor’s trees block the lake view. We booked through Interchalet. The house is simple, impersonal, and has little charm. I’d happily return to Colico, just not to CCO180.
