We had a magical three-night stay in one of the apartments with our family of five. The property is beautiful and the staff were friendly from the moment we arrived. It's well placed for exploring Tuscany, but we also spent a day relaxing there by the gorgeous pool, with views over the countryside. A winery tour with oil and balsamic tasting and an on-site cooking class were highlights, especially the class, which was a family favorite. The rooms are rustic and nothing fancy, but very clean and had what we needed. There were no toiletries provided in the bathrooms. We'd absolutely return and recommend it to anyone wanting to experience Tuscany.

One afternoon, a friend and I took a class in making pizza and focaccia. We had a wonderful time and really learned to make both. They provided unlimited wine of our choice, and since the instructor didn't speak English, another employee interpreted for us. Afterward we ate everything we'd made with wine, and it was delicious. I think older kids, around 9 and up, would enjoy it too. On another day, we stopped for lunch while out biking. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and the food was delicious. You could really taste how fresh everything was from the farm. They were busy with a tour group doing olive oil and wine tasting as well as the private diners, but it didn't bother us. We relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and authentic Italian experience. Thanks for two amazing experiences!

We spent one night at Tenuta di Mensanello in November 2025, with breakfast included, and paid about €130. It's a beautiful part of Tuscany, on around 300 hectares of rolling hills near Siena and the Via Francigena, with agriculture, nature and history all around. Easy to reach, plenty of parking, and well placed for Volterra, Siena and San Gimignano. The rooms were clean and in good condition, the staff were friendly and attentive, and dogs stay free, which is a big plus. Breakfast let the stay down. The selection was limited, and I expected more of an agriturismo feel, perhaps homemade seasonal cake or local cold cuts, instead of supermarket-style ham and cheese still in plastic trays. The room amenities were sparse too: just a small soap and two tiny shower gels that barely lasted one person. At this price, I expected a few extra items, such as intimate cleanser or toothpaste. The estate has real charm, but the breakfast and bathroom supplies felt out of step with the nightly rate. More care in those areas could earn it a higher rating.

It's so peaceful and stunningly beautiful here. Walking around, the smell of fresh herbs follows you, and the staff are friendly and always ready to help. Our apartment was clean and nice, with a lovely terrace view over the rooftops and church. The food, oil, balsamic, ragu, wine, brandy and grappa were amazing. I came with my boyfriend for an anniversary getaway, and he proposed and surprised me with an engagement photo shoot on the property. It's a perfect spot for photos, and I can't wait to return to Tenuta di Mensanello.

Lovely farmhouse stay in rural Tuscany. The rooms were clean and the food, all made on the farm, was delicious. I accidentally booked the wrong dates, but the owner and staff were quick to respond and let me reserve a room at the last minute.
