Ostello Parco d'Abruzzo

I keep coming back for family celebrations, and the food still surprises me. The combinations are generous, thoughtfully put together, and lovely to look at as well as delicious. The menu uses excellent ingredients and changes with the seasons, and the wine list is spectacular. Staff are warm and helpful, prices are fair, and the atmosphere feels welcoming. Tradition and new ideas come together beautifully here. And Pino Corsi at the grill deserves a special mention, he's a true master.

The location is lovely, and we had a fantastic lunch at the restaurant. The rooms were a 3/5, service 3/5, and location 5/5. We'd booked a triple room months ahead, but only found out by chance two days before arriving that they'd forgotten the reservation. When we got there, they gave us a quadruple room instead. At checkout, they charged us 50 euros more than agreed because their mistake meant they had to assign the quadruple instead of the triple we'd booked. That's why I'm giving two stars, the way the payment was handled wasn't fair.

I joined a lunch organized by Guzzisti motorcyclists, with roast pork shank as the main theme and a set menu for everyone. Everything I ate was excellent, from the mixed starter with its range of bruschetta to the spaghetti alla chitarra with ragù, the star dish, oven-roasted shank with potatoes, and dessert. The place itself is clean, nicely heated, and has well-kept bathrooms. It sits on a plateau surrounded by the beautiful mountains of Abruzzo. A really good experience overall.

The rooms are clean and welcoming, and the hotel is good value, with very low prices. Staff deserve top marks for their hospitality. The food is excellent too: dishes are carefully prepared, full of flavor, and made with top-quality ingredients. The wines are high quality as well, and you can taste the care that goes into the cooking. There's a broad menu, with dishes changing along with the seasons. The location is excellent. Highly recommended.
