After a long ferry trip from Corsica, I was looking for a pet friendly hotel and found this one because it still says it welcomes pets. I even added a picture showing that. Once I booked through booking.com, the hotel told me pets weren’t allowed. I politely asked them to cancel and refund me so I could find somewhere else, but got no reply. booking.com emailed the administration for me, with no answer there either. It’s been days, and I’ve contacted booking.com twice and called the hotel three times. During one call, the receptionist hung up while I was still speaking. Neither booking.com nor I have heard back, and I still haven’t received a refund. I can only guess they must be hard up if they need to keep the €65. I’d give zero stars if I could. Being treated this way is unacceptable. After seeing other reviews, I’m relieved I may have dodged a bullet, thank God, though it’s cost me my own money.

Breakfast was good, and reception gave us a warm welcome. The room was average in size, though the metal covering the window made it feel like a prison. The bed was hard, and it took ages for the AC to cool the room since it only gets power when the key is in. The hotel feels stuck in another era. There was a used shampoo bottle in the shower, and the drain had no cover.

The large parking area in front can fit buses and trucks, and the location works well if you’re heading to the harbor. I’m giving it two stars because the air conditioning in my room didn’t work. That wasn’t my first broken AC in Italy. Maybe they think a fan blowing hot air counts as air conditioning? I probably won’t be able to sleep, so I’ll sleep in my truck with its AC. Basically, this has turned into an expensive toilet and shower :D

The room was okay and the staff were kind, but smoke from someone in the corridor kept coming in when we switched on the AC and wouldn’t clear. At checkout we mentioned the smoking to reception, and they said it wasn’t possible and did nothing. Breakfast was pretty average: ham, cheese, croissants, and a few cakes, with nothing fresh.

There was a bad smell everywhere, and the whole place felt old, stained, and grimy. Maybe everyone was allowed to smoke inside in the past. The breakfast wasn’t great, and the location was awful. This rundown hotel is nowhere near four stars, maybe two. I won’t come back. Advertising it as a four star place really feels like a fraud, and the stay wasn’t enjoyable at all.
