B&B La Mugletta

We loved the morning breakfast on the terrace, and the garden is a lovely place to wander or sit and relax. The hosts were very nice and always ready to help. La Mugletta is a bright, contemporary house set amid nature, with just three rooms. Its central spot in the Veneto makes it convenient for exploring the region, with Padua nearby and Venice about half an hour away.

The peaceful setting made a lovely break from the crowds in Venice and Verona. La Mugletta itself is a beautiful, eco-friendly building, with modern design, attractive furnishings, and nice materials. Ulla prepares delicious breakfasts with care, sometimes using ingredients from her garden. You'll need a car to get around. From here, you can visit Euganean Hills towns like Arqua Petrarcha, drive to Padova (Padua), or head to one of the nearby thermal spas. There are local restaurants, and the large, well-equipped kitchen also lets you bring back food to heat or even cook. Booking was easy. Eberhard replied to my emails quickly and pleasantly, and was very accommodating when I needed to change the reservation. I'd recommend adding a stay here to a Veneto trip.

We ended up returning to La Mugletta a week after our first stay. We'd booked initially because it was near a wedding reception, and liked it enough to stay again for another wedding nearby. Ulla was so sweet and made a point of remembering what we liked, including our morning cappuccinos. One day I found my new favorite pastry, a croissant filled with hazelnut spread. She saved one for me the next morning so it wouldn't all be gone by the time the other guests had eaten. The breakfast spread also had fruit, mostly homegrown, pastries, juices, homemade jams, and other treats. The pastries were so delicious that we asked where they came from and bought more. We had the orange room first, the largest of the three if you don't count the green room loft. It looked out onto greenery and had private access to the large shared terrace. On our second visit we stayed in the slightly smaller yellow room, which was still lovely and had better Wi-Fi, lol. I don't get to this region much outside the winter holidays, when La Mugletta is apparently closed, but I'd definitely stay again the next time I'm around in the non-winter season.

La Mugletta has lovely architecture and sits somewhere quiet, a great base for seeing the surrounding area. We really enjoyed staying here. Ulla was a very friendly host and helped us discover the region. We'll definitely come back!
