I paid €35 for a single room, but it was so awful that I ended up sleeping in my car. The rooms were dirty and bare, with mold everywhere and stains on the bathroom mirror I can’t even imagine. There was no WiFi in the room or breakfast, just two vending machines the size of hospital ones. Service gets minus zero out of 10, and there wasn’t even any signage. I’ve stayed in plenty of godforsaken places around Italy, but this was the worst experience I’ve had. A real nightmare, and you won’t see me there again.

The comfort was excellent, and public transport serves the place well. If you’re visiting Vercelli, this is a good place to stay. It’s in a characteristic little lowland village, where the local way of life really gets into your heart.

The prices are affordable, and the owner is a really nice guy. The place is always clean, though it’s a shame he doesn’t maintain it very well now that he’s a few years older.

The food was excellent. It’s a very pleasant place, and you can also dine at the proprietors’ second hotel, about ten kilometers away.

The owner was helpful, and I really liked how clean and welcoming the place felt.
