Residence Doria II

The one advantage is being right by the sea. Otherwise, it was awful. The rooms are very dated, the beds are miserable, and there was noise throughout the building. Young people above us seemed constantly drunk, yelling and making so much noise it felt like they might come downstairs at any moment. There was always something happening, never a moment of peace. We stayed 14 days, through today, and the place was unbearably loud. It’s right beside a playground that’s noisy every night, with a youth hangout and alcohol. You can’t sleep a single night, especially with children. Absolutely no good for anyone looking for peace and quiet, not worth a cent!

The location is good: the beach is less than 100 meters away, and you can walk to the shops in five minutes. The owner was very friendly. But the room had no air conditioning, the beds were small, the neighbors were noisy, and there was no private parking. The internet was absolutely terrible. At €1,500 for two weeks, it was far too expensive, especially since it’s self-catering. Well...

The only good thing is how close it is to the beach. The attic is tiny, dirty, and has no air conditioning. From the little park below, groups of rude, drunk teenagers and adults shout and play with a very noisy pulley from midnight to 4:00 a.m. The mosquitoes join in on the feast.

The apartments are pleasant, practical, and fully equipped, in a well-kept, quiet location. They have air conditioning, though we didn’t need it even on hot summer days. The beach is very close.
