The location is convenient, but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. There was a strange smell when I arrived, and it got worse in the room, where there was dirt too. I didn’t feel clean during my stay, and the showers weren’t clean by normal hotel standards. The walls are thin enough that you can hear everything. EDIT: The hotel has now replied specifically to my review, but not to the other reviews concerned about the property’s condition. There are other negative reviews about one of the rooms I stayed in, room 101. About the housekeeping comment, the only time I saw the housekeeper was in the morning, when I smiled and said hi. As for the state I left the room in, I didn’t use the showers and had cleaned up after myself. The property’s lack of responsibility and inability to commit to better service going forward is even more reason to stay away.

The staff and hotel were lovely. It’s very close to the railway station, while still within walking distance of Lake Como.

The room was a decent size, breakfast was okay and enough to get the day started, and I appreciated having a bidet in the bathroom. Still, there were several problems. The bed was terrible, squeaking and bouncing whenever I moved, even though I’m small. The shower was so uncomfortable it felt like something from an American prison scene in a movie. The air conditioning wouldn’t work when the weather wasn’t too hot, and opening the window meant too much outside noise, so it came down to no air or no sleep. It’s not the worst hotel, but for this price you could stay somewhere cheaper in Milan with much better quality and take a day trip to Como.

The rooms are cheap, so they’re small, basic, and don’t have a nice view, but they’re clean and have the basics for a comfortable stay. You get what you pay for, and it’s okay. What bothered me was the early morning noise from cleaning staff in the hallway. Also, the room wouldn’t go below 22, even with the thermostat turned all the way down and a window open.
