La Corte Fiorita Como

Corte Fiorita offers a private, comfortable stay in a small, intimate hotel. Each room has its own courtyard or patio with a table and chairs, which gives you a nice outdoor extension of the room. Inside, there’s an espresso maker, an electric kettle, toiletries, and a warming rack for drying clothes and towels. Wi-Fi is provided, too. A couple of things to know: despite the “B&B Hotel” label, breakfast isn’t served on site, and there’s no elevator, which could be an issue with mobility or heavy luggage. The rooms are well equipped and private, so it may suit travelers who like having their own space and a spot to relax outside.

Just disgusting. The bathroom was moldy, the walls were so thin I could hear everything, and the room smelled of cigarette smoke. The paint was worn out too. Don’t stay here.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable, with coffee and tea provided. For what I paid in Como, I thought it was good value and the room was nice for the price. The reception is in another building, though, so you have to go over there if you need anything.

It’s quiet, the room was clean, and check-in is self-service, so you’ll probably not meet anyone. But I’d only suggest it for one or two people with small bags. Our room was freezing when we arrived, including the floor, and it took more than 12 hours to warm up. We slept in our jackets the first night. It was listed as an apartment when we booked, but it was actually a room, and it felt too small for more than two people. There’s no elevator, and the rooms are on the third floor. The stairs and the runway are tight, so luggage is a problem. The street is narrow, and moving bags along it is hard even though the station is nearby. The road is in poor shape, too, and could damage suitcase wheels.
