Gabriele greeted us kindly, showed us around, and had the apartment stocked with handy breakfast items: water, fruit, cereal, croissants, and more. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and there were also bathrobes, sheets, towels, an iron, and an ironing board. The place has all the comforts, including TV, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. My girlfriend and I stayed here in Conversano, a village with a medieval quarter worth seeing. It’s convenient for trips to Polignano, about 10 minutes away, Monopoli at 20 minutes, and Alberobello at roughly 30 minutes. A very positive stay, well deserving of top marks.

The house was clean, and the mother and son were very kind. I’d told them I can’t have lactose, and they went out and bought lactose-free snacks for breakfast. Breakfast could still be better, though. I’d swap the packaged snacks for traditional local products.

The apartment is nicely decorated and thoughtfully detailed, and I thought it was good value given how close it is to Polignano. The owners were helpful. The one drawback is that parking is available nearby.

It’s comfortable enough, but this felt more like a B&B than a guesthouse. There’s no table or chairs, and the windows aren’t tinted, so morning light gets in early. You get a voucher for a cappuccino and croissant at the bar.
