Affitta Camere Mimi Family

The welcome made this feel more like staying with a friend's family than at a hostel. It was the best place we stayed on our Italy trip, and the four-person room made it easy to chat and meet people while feeling safer. The place was so clean that even walking barefoot on the hard floor didn't bother me. Beds were comfortable, lockers were free, and towel rental was just 1 euro. The location worked especially well for arriving by tram in Florence. Thanks for the great hospitality, hope to see you again :)

I was meant to spend three nights here, but left after the first one. Cigarette smoke was so strong it gave me a headache and kept me from sleeping, and I even saw someone smoking in the room. The host was fairly friendly. Apart from the location, though, I can't think of anything positive. This was the worst experience I've had, and my first time writing a review.

I was happy to stay here for all three nights. The place felt worth choosing after I'd accidentally booked a hostel whose reviews mentioned bed bugs. The rooms are comfortable and very clean, with air conditioning and lockers. It's handy for the train and Florence's well-known sights, and the owners are helpful and nice. The shared bathroom serves a few rooms, but it's large and clean. It may cost a little more, but I was pleased with my choice.

A strike at the Florence train station on 10/13 left us stranded. Our 10 AM departure was cancelled, then five more booked trains were cancelled too, so we needed somewhere to stay at the last minute. I was with my 70-year-old mother, and we couldn't find anything reasonably priced within 15 without needing a taxi. This hostel was about 5 away, or 10 minutes on foot with luggage and mobility challenges. We arrived around 8 PM, knocked, and they kindly took us in, gave us a place to rest, and carried our bags upstairs. Clean, reasonably priced, and very close to the station. We were so grateful for their kindness and late welcome.
