We stayed for two days. Our rubbish was taken out and toilet paper was left, but the towels weren't changed. The room hadn't been swept or mopped either, and there were shoe marks in the bathroom. Flies were a problem in both the room and bathroom. They'd left fly spray, but whenever we opened the window, lots more came in. The location was nice, and it was handy to get free water, coffee, and fruit juice at the front desk. It looked like renovations were underway, with quite a lot of construction on our floor. Our room seemed partly renovated, though I think the windows should be replaced eventually. The bed was very comfortable.

Florence itself is gorgeous, but our stay at this hotel was awful and the service was even worse. The ground-floor room was unacceptable and looked nothing like the photos. It was extremely humid, full of mosquitoes, and the floor was dirty from day one. The air conditioning wouldn't heat the room, and the radiator barely worked. I can only give one star because the site won't let me post without one.

The triple room setup was oddly placed and a real problem with kids, older people, or luggage: you have to use the elevator and then stairs with no handrail. They should have explained that clearly. The location is great and easy to reach, the receptionist was very friendly, and there was free juice and coffee at reception all the time.

We booked three triple rooms for a special trip with friends. The location was excellent, the service very good, and it was good value for money.
