Hotel Ristorante La Stazione

We stopped in for lunch and the welcoming feel, along with all that tempting food, already has us thinking about another visit. The dishes were plentiful and the staff so friendly. I barely managed to take photos because the food looked and smelled too good. Next time, we'd like to try the pizzas.

The new management deserves congratulations. I tried the venison ravioli with wild mushrooms and gorgonzola, which was exquisite, and the Sicilian caponata is another distinctive dish to try.

The parmigiana pizza was done just right. The eggplant was fried, almost like it had been gratinéed, instead of piled on raw, and the base stayed crisp nearly to the last bite. I skipped the photo because I wanted to eat it straight away. The food made a much better impression than I expected from my memory of the previous management. I'll update this after trying more of the food, perhaps with photos. I'm from Cordovado, and the current team has made the place interesting. The room feels welcoming, somewhere between rustic and modern. Wooden tables and benches with old-fashioned chandeliers give it an almost mountain-like feel. The fountain nodding to Ippolito Nievo is a brilliant idea and a lovely way to recall Cordovado's history. There are lots of good decorating ideas. The chairs are a little close together, though it didn't change my positive impression. The staff clearly have drive and determination. Keep it up! The price felt fair for the food quality. A place I'd recommend, and I hope it stays this way.

I tried the food as well as the pizza, and both were very good. The cutlet was something else, almost supernatural! The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the staff were helpful and kind. Good luck with this new experience! ❤️
