Ambrosia Room

When we arrived on the agreed date, none of the digital keys worked. We couldn’t get into the property or check in, and the group of seven was left stranded. I’d booked well ahead through Booking.com, then was told to cancel there and arrange things directly after I needed to add another double room. I trusted that it would make communication and planning easier. The most upsetting part was getting no help and no response to dozens of calls. An apology message came only two hours after the last call. By then, we’d had to find emergency accommodation for everyone, at a much higher cost. All the digital keys had been sent to me a few days before we arrived, so we expected to be able to enter. This was a deeply disappointing experience and, to me, profoundly irresponsible management. I strongly advise against staying here if you need reliability, professionalism, and respect.

Giuseppe and his brother were attentive owners, always ready with advice that made our stay better. They pointed us toward a fantastic restaurant by the sea, which was a lovely finishing touch. We stayed as a family in a gorgeous, new apartment just steps from the water. It was welcoming and spotlessly clean. The place was thoughtfully set up, with TVs in every room and the living area, USB ports for charging a phone or laptop, a modern bathroom, and a bright, spacious kitchen-living room. Heat pumps throughout meant it wouldn’t be too hot, or too cold in winter. We also ate on the large veranda, enjoying Neapolitan pizza from a pizzeria 20 meters away. Highly recommended.

The biggest downside was the poor soundproofing. The hallway doors are especially thin and let in a lot of light, so late arrivals can be annoying. If you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs and a sleep mask. Even with that issue, I’d book here again. We stayed 11 days and were very happy with the place. Prices may be high for southern Italy, but what you get is close to a 4- or 5-star hotel. The rooms are modern, roomy, and comfortable, with a fridge, a little coffee bar that gets restocked regularly, lots of storage, and a great bathroom and shower. There’s also a large, pleasant balcony for relaxing in the evening. The bed was comfortable too. Room service is available if you ask, and was usually done before noon. The location is excellent: parking was always available, the beach is walkable, and there are lots of bars and restaurants nearby.

A lovely stay, and the location is really convenient.
