I can't recommend this place. I'm giving it one star because there isn't another option. The sea view is beautiful, and the house is right on the front row, but that was the only good part for us. We stayed on the top floor, so maybe the other floors are better. When we first went in to see the house, the kitchen floor was especially dirty, and there was sand all over the shower. The place was very messy and dirty, nothing like the photos. The terrace air conditioning looked rusty from the street. At villa Lulu, there was always a car just inside the gate, and getting to the rooms meant squeezing past it and the bushes. I'd read both positive and negative reviews, including people describing a perfect house with beers in the fridge and desserts made by the lady. She did greet us with a dessert, but when I tried to say the house wasn't like the photos, she gave me a bad look and showed a very different side of herself. I hadn't believed the negative reviews until I saw it myself. The photos are misleading!

We felt at home and had a fabulous week. Mrs. Lucrezia was very kind and polite. She welcomed us with an aperitif and some delicious desserts she had made herself. The house is beautiful, with a breathtaking view, and the sea is only a short walk away. I'll definitely come back with my family.

After sunset we ate out on the terrace, looking over the sea. The view was wonderful. Mrs. Lucrezia also made fantastic cakes and croissants in the morning, and her clementine jam was extraordinary. The welcome was excellent. There was air conditioning in the rooms, but we didn't use it. We slept with the balcony wide open and the cool sea air coming in. Thank you for everything, Mrs. Lucrezia, from Vincenzo, Annelisa, Papa Giuseppe, and Mamma Rosa.

I'm giving five stars for the lovely lady. She was hospitable and helpful, and really made us feel at home. I do think she should renovate the rooms, though. With a little attention, this could become a top-notch B&B!

The apartment faces the Schiavonea seafront, and its large terrace gives you the view from sunrise to sunset. The setting felt like a dream, and Ms. Lucrezia made us feel so welcome with her thoughtful hospitality, including a dessert when we arrived. It was an unforgettable stay. We promised Lucrezia, and ourselves too, that we'd return next year. We really can't wait.
