Ma Hotel

We spent two nights at this simple little hotel in the heart of Corinaldo and really enjoyed it. The breakfast bar was great. Definitely worth a stop, especially with such fantastic food around town.

The staff were friendly, and the place is easy to reach in the middle of town, close to all the amenities. I wasn’t keen on the building, a former convent. The entrance, halls, and rooms were all very bare. It had what I needed, but with so much space, I’d expected somewhere more welcoming and less minimalist. The emptiness felt chilly. And calling it a “hotel” gave me the wrong impression. I thought I’d booked a hotel, but it’s actually a bed and breakfast.

The building needs renovation and feels rundown, even though the property is right in the town center. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly. On Easter Sunday, the shower leaked and didn’t work, and there was no hot water. Guests hadn’t been told about the issue. The Smart TVs didn’t work either, including Netflix and the other channels.

The whole complex has a special character and makes this place a gem for visiting Corinaldo. It’s austere but still welcoming, and one you won’t want to miss. The bathrooms are small, though, and a kettle in the room might be a nice addition.
