Oberwirt Weisses Kreuz

The owners were so kind and arranged everything beautifully for my husband's birthday. We stayed in the Apollo 11 room, which was gorgeous and far beyond what I expected. Having a spa right in the hotel was very convenient too.

We added two nights in the Sirio room after our stay, and it was very large and beautiful, with a terrace offering a stunning view and a wooden bathtub. We were very, very satisfied and highly recommend it. Our original stay was on June 6, 2025, after we received the "Together on the Moon" package as a gift. It was a fantastic, unusual experience that exceeded our expectations. The room was a meticulous, life-size reproduction of the Apollo 11 lunar module, set in a lunar landscape and standing 7 meters high. It had two double beds, one in the lower section (tank) and one in the upper section (cockpit). A tablet let us control and configure the colored LED lights and starry sky with constellations, creating evocative scenes. It was both fun and informative. Dinner was excellent, and the staff were very kind and welcoming. The spa was excellent too, with two pools, one cold and one hot, hydromassage waterfalls, a Finnish sauna, and an aromatic herb sauna.

The astronomical theme shows in the hotel's varied, elegant furnishings, and we felt right at home during our five days there. Rooms were clean, modern, and genuinely spacious. The owners were extremely kind, and the food was superb. Breakfast was carefully prepared, with homemade bread, muesli, jams, and yogurt. Dinner had plenty of variety, traditional dishes, and top-quality ingredients. There are pools for adults and children at different temperatures. A wonderful hotel!

Most guests seem to be regulars, and it's easy to see why. We had a perfect week at the Oberwirt and loved the warm, family-run service, plus the fantastic menu with vegetarian options. Breakfast started each day with an incredible range of homemade food, fresh fruit, and other tasty, healthy things. There was also a barbecue in the spacious garden, which must've taken a lot of effort. I really enjoyed a swim in the new outdoor pool. The hotel is a perfect base for a hiking holiday, with most walks starting right there. Our required shopping day in Bolzano was easy by bus, just under half an hour.
