The breakfasts were a highlight all on their own. Every morning, a generous spread arrived at our apartment, with such great quality and variety that we hardly needed to eat again before the evening. The village of Steinegg is small but welcoming to visitors, and there are easy walks and tougher hikes close by. We also appreciated how much thought went into welcoming our family. Before we arrived, the booking team asked about our family setup and tried to plan for our needs. With four children under seven, that extra care made a real difference. The whole hotel carries its theme throughout, especially our suite, where the upstairs space station delighted our two oldest kids. The rooms were beautifully decorated, and the facilities covered everything we could have wanted. The wellness area had a good-sized pool, a sauna and a steam room, and we enjoyed a well-done massage. There was also a huge covered play area outdoors, which was especially useful for the kids on our rainy day. We had a thoroughly lovely stay at Sonnleiten.

For our first visit to South Tyrol, we really enjoyed both the region and our stay. The apartment was roomy, with a lovely balcony and a beautiful hot tub. Breakfast was five-star and delivered to the room at whatever time we chose, and the village felt peaceful while still being very close to Bolzano. We also appreciated the suggestions for daily hikes. A couple of things could be better: the pillows weren't great, and English-speaking guests could use clearer instructions. Some services felt more limited than at other three- or four-star hotels. Next time we'd bring our car. Public transport is available, but we found it wasn't very helpful for exploring.

That telescope Andreas lent us one day gave my son two hours of star-finding, a memory he'll keep for a long time. The kids also had a fantastic time in the outdoor play area, which showed a level of family-minded thought I don't think I've ever seen before. We spent plenty of time relaxing in the pool and saunas, too. Our apartment felt warm and welcoming, and the staff were always smiling. Andreas and Esther gave us helpful ideas about where to go and made us feel genuinely welcome. We had everything we needed, and the place was clean, spacious and fun to stay in. My boys got the secret bedroom, I'll leave that surprise alone, while my daughter slept in the open bed. We also loved the rooftop Jacuzzi and its amazing view. And the breakfast was wonderful, super delicious, and has set a new bar for every breakfast to come. We stayed three nights and I wish I'd rated the place six stars, or more. If you're anywhere near here, come stay. You'll enjoy every minute. Inbal and roee (and 3 more.. )

The owner was so happy to help with charging my electric car. I was the first to use the charger, and when the connection didn't work at first, he even adjusted the wiring and saved me a parking spot with a charging connection. You can also include breakfast and dinner, something I'll consider next time since I'd already made other plans. I came from Aarhus, Denmark, over the Ascension Day weekend, wanting to drive my electric car as far and as quickly as I could. Northern Italy turned out to be within reach, and staying at Sonnleiten Dolomiten Residence made it a wonderful weekend. The apartment was very spacious, even at full occupancy, and spotless enough to feel brand new. From the balcony there was a beautiful view across the valley of Bozen. The Dolomites in Süd Tirol have amazing scenery and nice weather, and are great for hiking and mountain biking, though they can get busy. A supermarket, bank, pubs and restaurants are within walking distance. The Residence parking area also has charging for electric cars and bicycles. Thanks for the stay, and maybe see you next time!

A great spot for families, with a small pool in the basement that's fine for a swim or a bit of relaxing. We booked one of the roof apartments with a bathtub up there, and the location was fantastic. It's about 40 minutes to Bozen and an hour to Meran. The drive from the main highway has, as I remember it, around 21 hairpin turns, but it's manageable. Book early if you can, since lots of families return every year.
