A rental car would be useful if you want to explore beyond the village, though there are a few places to get pizza nearby. The B&B is quiet, with clean, nice rooms and a lovely breakfast. A great spot for a relaxed holiday.

Getting away from busy, warm Milan, we found a peaceful place to stay near Alba. Antico Casale Mattei was a lovely surprise, with a pool to unwind by and a delicious international breakfast. The rooms were spotless and thoughtfully put together, and the owner was so kind she made us feel at home.

The owner was very kind, and we loved the breakfast, which was delicious and different each day. Antico Casale Mattei is a beautiful, perfectly maintained B&B, well placed between the Roero & Langhe. Our stay was just perfect, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a spot in that area.

We felt very welcome here, and the place has a wonderfully relaxed feel. Set in a refurbished XVII century building with a garden, it has lovely rooms and an excellent breakfast. It's right by the Langhe hills and wineries. Highly recommended.
