At Lavaredo, the staff were friendly and professional, and the rooms were clean with a cosy, rustic feel. Breakfast was pretty good. Dinner was decent and the servings were generous, though the food wasn't exceptional. I was satisfied with the quality, but it was expensive, over 500 euros for two nights in October.

The room looked out over the side of the hotel, and when we asked to change, we were quoted an extra €40 for a balcony room. We later noticed that room was empty. The bed was uncomfortable enough to make a good night's sleep difficult. The room was clean, but breakfast fell short. I need gluten-free food, and bread was all I was offered, even then only after asking. There was no fresh fruit left just an hour into service. There was no tea or coffee in the room. The walk down into town was pleasant, but the stay felt overpriced for what we got.

The hotel's about a five-minute drive from Cortina, and the view from there is beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless, spacious, newly renovated, and the bed was comfy. I love tea, so I asked for a kettle. They brought one, along with free tea bags, and there was a small refrigerator too.

We were happy with the value, especially the price, with no hidden fees. The staff gave us top A+ service, and the food was amazing. The rooms were clean and nice, with an incredible mountain view, and the spa was relaxing and beautiful. For our first trip to Italy and the Dolomites, I'm glad I picked this hotel. We'd love to return to do more hikes. It deserves five stars, and we'd recommend booking it. Thanks to Bruno, Sam, Gabriel, Pascuale, Josepy, and the owner for doing such an extraordinary job.
