Hotel Cristallino d'Ampezzo

The restaurant serves fine food with an elevated style and superb quality. At the hotel bar, the food was very good too, including the Amatriciana Pasta, and very reasonably priced, drinks included. The room was spacious and looked over the meadows. The hotel is quiet, but still a short distance from the main town centre, making it easy to get around. I'd recommend staying here. There's an underground parking garage for a fee, with lift access to the rooms.

The restaurant and bar were the highlight for me, both had nice food. The restaurant costs noticeably more, but its food is different enough to justify the price. Breakfast had a good selection, and the espresso and cappuccino were excellent. My room was clean and comfortable, with a great view of the distant mountain, partly blocked by a building in front. The shower cubicle was really small. It's about 300 metres to the city centre, a pleasant walk.

The reception was helpful, and the service from all the staff was incredible. Special thanks to Cécilia from F&B, who always goes the extra mile. Thanks for the kind service.

The staff's hospitality was amazing, and the restaurant served some of the best food we've had in Italy so far. Martin, the restaurant manager, was professional and accommodating. His daily specials and recommendations are why we ate there every night. The hotel rooms were outdated, very old, and had a slight odor, so it felt more like a budget-friendly place for hikers than a four-star hotel. I'd rate the hotel two stars, but the staff provide five-star service.
