We regretted choosing this hotel for our vacation. The room was so tiny it barely felt worthy of being called a hotel room, and we couldn’t sleep. I complained on the first day and asked to move, but staff said there were no rooms available, so we stayed there for all three nights. It felt like a nightmare. Highly not recommended. If you want good vacation memories, don’t choose this hotel!!!!

I stayed at the “Grand hotel Majoni”, as we ironically renamed it, for three nights in July 2025 with a friend who had a pet. I don’t usually write reviews when things go well, but this was far from that. Despite being advertised as pet friendly, pets couldn’t come into the restaurant or eat on the terrace, which was closed the whole time for reasons we never learned. The only option was eating in the room. After we argued that this made no sense, they agreed it wasn’t proper but still charged us 15 euros to bring food upstairs. My friend was overcharged for her dog. The manager was rude, and we don’t know why he tried to make our stay so unpleasant. A little kindness goes a long way. He gave us wrong information about hiking in the mountains too: he didn’t know we had to book the carpark or that there was a shuttle. The food was sad, and so were the rooms. We could see him playing power games with his young staff. Please avoid the place until there’s a new manager. We could put up with old-fashioned rooms and not-so-great food, but not that attitude. Management needs to terminate this person.

At Hotel Majoni, the rooms felt outdated and in need of renovation, dinner choices were limited, and the food quality was below par. The staff weren’t particularly friendly or accommodating either. This was a disappointing stay and doesn’t feel like a 4 star hotel. If you want a pleasant visit to Cortina, you might want to look at other options.

The hotel was spotless throughout, with rooms cleaned every morning and again in the evening while we were at dinner. They’re basic but comfortable once you get past the colour scheme. Red bedspread, blue curtains, green carpet, and a brown bathroom just don’t work. The bar was basically nonexistent. The buffet had an amazing choice and was really tasty, so the chef deserves credit for keeping guests happy. The two young men in the restaurant provided excellent service to everyone. The manager was professional and good at his job, though it would be nice if he smiled sometimes. At reception, the hotel manager and the young girl at the desk were always smiling, helpful, happy, and polite. The hotel manager looks like Justin Timberlake. You need to take the local Ski bus to the lift stations each day, and you can’t ski back to the hotel. It’s conveniently near a bus stop and only a five minutes walk into town. Taking everything into account, I’d recommend staying here. The colour scheme needs updating, though the rooms are comfortable. The owner has 19 hotels. I hope he spends money on his other hotels, and I suppose if his occupancy levels are good, why spend money on this hotel?

We stayed at the end of August 2025, and it was a horrible experience. The rooms and bathrooms are old and poorly insulated, so you can basically hear other guests talking. The building doesn’t look great from outside either. The location is good, close to the city center, but the price isn’t worth it. I know it’s Cortina d'Ampezo, but there are much better hotels in town for the same money. I can’t understand why this place has so many positive reviews.
